Who doesn’t like lush? Thats rhetorical – you should all love lush!! Any time I’m out shopping I can smell lush from a mile off just like a sniffer dog! The beautiful aromas that fill the air get me every bloody time, making my purse lighter and my shopping bags a little heavier! Lush is famous for their wide range of bath bombs but thats not all they do. I recently went in to browse their skincare range in which they have loads to choose from, and came out with two products that will forever remain a staple of my skincare routine!
Cup O’ Coffee Exfoliating Mask
I originally wanted to find a new face scrub since I’d been using a salt one that I really didn’t like, who wants to get a mouthful of salt when they’re trying to pamper themselves!? Alas, all I found in Lush was another salt scrub & I was left standing there feeling a little deflated… until my eyes scanned the shelves one more time and met the coffee mask and scrub. You can imagine my excitement as my eyes widened and heart skipped a beat being an avid coffee lover! The coffee mask is made up of coffee beans – obviously! The beans aren’t completely ground down and this is what creates the scrub like texture. I know that caffeine has a lot of great benefits when applied to the skin such as brightening, so I knew when I saw this that I’d be buying a small tub to try at home.
Application was nice and easy, its thick like a mask usually is and covers the face really well. The smell is amaze-to-the-zing although not so amazing for my 3 year old who says I smell bad when its on! After leaving the mask on for 15 minutes to dry it was time to come off. The mask still has some sort of moisture to it though so it doesn’t dry through completely. Whilst washing off with warm water I scrubbed at the mask like an exfoliator which felt great as I prefer harsher scrubs than those subtle I-can’t-feel-anything type scrubs and this definitley delivered! After I’d scrubbed and completely removed the mask my skin no longer felt dry like it usually does, it even looked more radiant and the cherry on top, my skin felt the softest it ever has!!
Cup O’ Coffee is a 10/10 product, I’ll even go as far as buying this as gifts. The only thing I’d say that was slightly off putting about it at first was the spillage, because the mask holds oils when the pot is completely full the oil slightly seeps out & runs down the pot. After the first use though this was no longer an issue so not really something to cry about!
Skindrink Facial Moisturiser
My face is 100% NEVER going a day without this moisturiser again!!! Honestly I don’t know if I’m going to be able to express perfectly enough how much I love the Skindrink moisturiser. Its like the barbie to my ken, the cheese to my pizza, and seriously my most favourite material possession right now! I’m in complete awe of this moisturiser, Lush created something so right when they made this!! Ingredients include, sesame oil, cocoa butter, avocado, primrose oil, almond oil, aloe vera extract & thats just to name a few!
The first thing you notice is the smell, its my favourite – its like those beautiful aromas & oils you smell when you’re enjoying a nice spa day or having a massage! On application its the silkiest, creamiest moisturiser to apply, its like liquid gold! My skin can be troublesome so more often than not its dangerously dry but that all changed since using this! Skindrink is so hydrating and nourishing & for the past 3 nearly 4 weeks of using it daily, my dry patches have completely cleared up!! It soaks into my skin really well and despite all the oils its not greasy at all. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised right up to the end of the day & no moisturiser has ever done that for me! If you are on the hunt for a new moisturiser I’d definitely recommend running to Lush & grabbing yours.
