I did it, I finally got my hands on one of the most precious highlighting palettes the internet has seen! The first time I set my sights on one of these Anastasia Beverley Hills Glow Kits was during one of Jaclyn Hills beautiful makeup tutorials on youtube, she is such a babe! I watched as Jaclyn applied the most shimmery, on fleek highlight I’d ever seen and thats when I knew I needed it!
I’d heard peoples stories about their glow kits arriving smashed so I’d started having a mental breakdown whilst trying not to panic about the state mine would be in when it arrived! The day came, I was handed a package that I hoped was my glow kit, I ran to the kitchen ripped it open and to my absolute relief there it was all in tact!! My face lit up, I was beaming. I know, you’re thinking ‘get a grip girl its only makeup’, but its so much more than just makeup, this palette is the MOTHER of all highlighters!
I chose the Gleam palette as it has this iridescent shade thats so majestic and beautiful I just had to have it! The other shades are equality as stunning, I’m not let down with this palette at all. What I love about these highlights is that you can go as bold or as subtle as you want, they sit really nicely on the skin and they are so easy to apply! I like to really shimmer up on a night out and these are perfect for enabling me to do that, by the end of the night my highlight is still looking great without a need to reapply, I love that!
Highlight takes your makeup game from 10-100 real fast and with strobing becoming a new trend these are whats hot right now, although I can’t ever see these eventually becoming less popular and growing dust on a shelf somewhere! This will always be a staple in my ever growing makeup collection thats for sure!
‘Hard Candy’ is the Iridescent shade I mentioned, if you turn your palette to a certain angle you can just see it. Its beautiful on the skin. I’m always babbling on about how I’m this mythical, magical mermaid, this shade confirms it! Haha!
‘Mimosa’ is an intense, deep gold coloured highlight. I haven’t been brave enough to wear this one out yet but I also imagine it would look amazing on tanned and darker skin tones!
‘Starburst’ is a light pink shade that looks gorgeous on! With this shade its really easy to be subtle but on building it looks great too.
‘Crushed Pearl’ is the lightest shade. It has an icey feel to it on the skin this one its a fave of mine. I wear this one most days & always feel super confident with it on!
If you have me on Twitter you’ll remember how excited I was when my glow kit arrived! I’m a mum of two so its not everyday that I get to treat myself but I’m so glad I did with this!
Is it worth it? Yes, yes, a million times yes!
(Yes that was a pride and prejudice quote haha!)
