Could The L’or Des Pharaons Face & Body Mist Reverse The Effects Of Time?

L’or Des Pharaons translates to Gold of the Pharaohs. In ancient Egypt Gold has always been thought of as a very precious gift from the Gods. The Egyptians would use gold to stay young, healthy and beautiful. Gold would be used in the form of face masks in order to preserve and rejuvenate the skin whilst also supposedly expanding their life span. This is where the idea of L’or de Pharaons face and body mist came from. It has been developed through the research of ancient manuscripts and todays modern technology. The face and body mist consists of Nano Gold, Platinum and Zinc, because of the way it has been designed the particles are small enough to pass through the cell membranes in the skin so that they can be absorbed effectively. This product is said to combat the visible signs of ageing, ‘defying the effects of time’.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now. It comes in a spray top bottle which makes it easy to apply as you can spray directly onto the skin and allow to dry naturally. On my first use I was apprehensive to spray it on just because I really didn’t want to smell a strong scent of metal/gold, surprisingly its an odourless mist which of course I was more than happy about. In all honestly its just like spritzing water all over your face! I’m only 25 so fortunately at the moment my face isn’t too riddled with fine lines though I do have a few and unfortunately makeup can enhance these from time to time. This spraying mist sounded like my saving grace.

Unfortunately I can’t say I’ve noticed much of a change in my skins appearance. Honestly nothing about my skin has changed; firmness, redness, tone, everything feels and looks the same. Since I started using the spray I’ve had a few spots come up in places on my face that I don’t usually get them, not sure my skin reacts so well to Gold! I’ve no idea how you get results like Cleopatra, I’m assuming you’d need to bathe in liquid gold every day, not indulge in even one slice of pizza EVER and drink gallons of water!

This product might be one that with use every day over a long period of time can prevent the effects of ageing? But as it stands for instant results or reversing any damage already done this product is sadly not the one! I would consider using L’or Des Pharaons Face and Body Mist over a much longer period of time to see if it works in the way or preventing/prolonging the ageing process but at £40 a 15ml bottle and with no results thus far I can’t justify making that purchase!

That is quite a hefty price tag for something that you are not sure if you are going to see results from long term or not. Perhaps this only worked for Cleopatra because she was actually using real gold.

    • cheskaaanels January 9, 2017 / 8:14 pm

Right!? I just can’t justify the price tag!!

  2. hann182014 January 9, 2017 / 8:07 pm

It’s a shame it isn’t as good as it looks. It’s quite expensive too for something that isn’t that good

  3. Stressed Mum January 9, 2017 / 8:38 pm

As I am older I do look at reviews on these products with interest, £40 is quite expensive for something that you are not sure about. I will wait a while to see if there are any other reviews

    • cheskaaanels January 9, 2017 / 9:19 pm

Yeah I’d have to say I’ve seen other bloggers review this and they can’t actually say yes this product works so bot worth it to me!

  4. Rachel January 9, 2017 / 10:49 pm

Oooh it sounds like a really interesting product but very expensive for something that potentially might not do a lot xo

  5. countryheartdeb January 10, 2017 / 12:22 am

I have this too and waiting for results! Im hoping it works! lol

  6. Sarah January 10, 2017 / 12:47 am

It sounds like a gem, but at that price tag I couldn’t justify it! Perhaps with more mature skin & bigger wallet?!

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 9:39 am

Well if it worked it’d be great but alas it doesn’t!

  7. Ana De-Jesus January 10, 2017 / 12:49 am

That is such a shame as gold is meant to be good for the skin. Hopefully they can improve their formula?

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 9:39 am

Would be something to look into I think!

  8. Liz Mays January 10, 2017 / 2:05 am

Once you said it was odorless, I was interested. It’s sad that it seems to not do much though.

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 9:40 am

Right!? Oh well some products disappoint!

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 9:40 am

Especially because the bottle is SO TINY!!

  9. Stephanie Merry January 10, 2017 / 10:38 am

I’ve heard so much about this, not tried it yet though. Love the bottle design though x

  10. Rhian Westbury January 10, 2017 / 11:27 am

I am very much up for stopping the hands of time but sounds like firming creams and things might do a better job x

  11. Anosa January 10, 2017 / 12:25 pm

oh what a shame, I thought you were going to say it is amazing! Maybe time to try a different product, there are so many availble these days

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 1:36 pm

I know isn’t it!? Was hoping it would do the job but I’ve some other skincare lined up so lets hope thats better!

  12. Charlotte January 10, 2017 / 12:43 pm

I think I may be past th point of saving my skin. I always said I wouldn’t stay with with anti ageing before there wasn’t a problem but I never did.

  13. Milly Youngman January 10, 2017 / 2:37 pm

Shame you haven’t seen results yet – I’m always quite wary of products offering miraculous change! I do like the name though!

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 6:57 pm

Yeah its a big shame 🙁 just got to accept we all get old haha!

  14. dearmummyblog January 10, 2017 / 8:28 pm

Woweeeee! Liquid gold….we’ll nearly! We’d rather invest it in real gold 😉 Maybe if you continue it might yeld results xx But an expensive habit!

    • cheskaaanels January 10, 2017 / 10:13 pm

Well considering it doesn’t work I wouldn’t waste your time or money

  15. kira January 10, 2017 / 10:32 pm

I love how it has such easy application! At that price though I probably wouldn’t give it ago!

    • cheskaaanels January 11, 2017 / 5:15 pm

That and the fact it doesn’t really work you and me both!!

  16. Dannii January 11, 2017 / 11:35 am

That is pretty expensive. That’s a shame that it wasn’t worth the price. Thanks for sharing!

  17. Jemma @ Celery and Cupcakes January 11, 2017 / 5:21 pm

Ohhh, never heard of this before. It sounds like a great product. Shame you didn’t get on with it.

  18. Lubka Henry January 11, 2017 / 8:49 pm

This body mist sounds very interesting and I’ll head to their website to check it.

  19. Jessica & James January 12, 2017 / 10:36 am

That is a hefty price tag though but I love your honesty! Such a shame though, sounds like an amazing product concept! Gold and all!

    • cheskaaanels January 12, 2017 / 12:22 pm

Yeah concept is great just a shame its a bit pants!

  20. Emma White (@TheRealSupermum) January 12, 2017 / 1:09 pm

I love the fact you have been very honest as its an expensive product to buy if it doesn’t do what it says on the box so I thank you for your honesty

    • cheskaaanels January 12, 2017 / 7:32 pm

So glad you enjoy the honesty!! As bloggers we have to review both the good and bad!

  21. Jess January 12, 2017 / 2:57 pm

Sometimes I wonder if any anti-aging products work at all. I tried a bee venom one a while back and reported the same results. It’s such a shame when the product is so high-value too. I doubt many other sponsored bloggers would have been so honest.

    • cheskaaanels January 12, 2017 / 7:35 pm

Really glad you enjoyed the review! I think I read something in the summer about a bee venom thing that didn’t work actually!! I do wonder if they work too, luckily I have used products before that have helped my fine lines a little so maybe!! But yes this is just not worth the purchase at all!! Its our duty as bloggers to review both good and bad products, we need to be honest!!

  22. Angela Milnes January 14, 2017 / 12:31 pm

this is expensive. I like the sound of it but it’s too much money for someone like me.

  23. bruisedpassports January 15, 2017 / 2:57 am

It’s always harder to see results with something like a mist, but even so a few weeks should be good enough! Thanks for your honest review – I know what I won’t be picking up 🙂

    • cheskaaanels January 15, 2017 / 10:21 am

Yeah I definitely thought I’d notice some sort of change even if the smallest thing but nothing!!

  24. Yaya (@mydreamality) January 16, 2017 / 1:42 pm

Not familiar with this product, but I would expect a product in this price range to show at least some results. I wonder if there would be more visible results in someone say 20 years older than you. Great review. x

    • cheskaaanels January 16, 2017 / 1:46 pm

I do wonder too but I really do doubt it. I would have expected some sort of change even if its was minor!
