Could The L’or Des Pharaons Face & Body Mist Reverse The Effects Of Time?

L’or Des Pharaons translates to Gold of the Pharaohs. In ancient Egypt Gold has always been thought of as a very precious gift from the Gods. The Egyptians would use gold to stay young, healthy and beautiful. Gold would be used in the form of face masks in order to preserve and rejuvenate the skin whilst also supposedly expanding their life span. This is where the idea of L’or de Pharaons face and body mist came from. It has been developed through the research of ancient manuscripts and todays modern technology. The face and body mist consists of Nano Gold, Platinum and Zinc, because of the way it has been designed the particles are small enough to pass through the cell membranes in the skin so that they can be absorbed effectively. This product is said to combat the visible signs of ageing, ‘defying the effects of time’.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks now. It comes in a spray top bottle which makes it easy to apply as you can spray directly onto the skin and allow to dry naturally. On my first use I was apprehensive to spray it on just because I really didn’t want to smell a strong scent of metal/gold, surprisingly its an odourless mist which of course I was more than happy about. In all honestly its just like spritzing water all over your face! I’m only 25 so fortunately at the moment my face isn’t too riddled with fine lines though I do have a few and unfortunately makeup can enhance these from time to time. This spraying mist sounded like my saving grace.

Unfortunately I can’t say I’ve noticed much of a change in my skins appearance. Honestly nothing about my skin has changed; firmness, redness, tone, everything feels and looks the same. Since I started using the spray I’ve had a few spots come up in places on my face that I don’t usually get them, not sure my skin reacts so well to Gold! I’ve no idea how you get results like Cleopatra, I’m assuming you’d need to bathe in liquid gold every day, not indulge in even one slice of pizza EVER and drink gallons of water!

This product might be one that with use every day over a long period of time can prevent the effects of ageing? But as it stands for instant results or reversing any damage already done this product is sadly not the one! I would consider using L’or Des Pharaons Face and Body Mist over a much longer period of time to see if it works in the way or preventing/prolonging the ageing process but at £40 a 15ml bottle and with no results thus far I can’t justify making that purchase!

  1. Sometimes I wonder if any anti-aging products work at all. I tried a bee venom one a while back and reported the same results. It’s such a shame when the product is so high-value too. I doubt many other sponsored bloggers would have been so honest.

    1. Really glad you enjoyed the review! I think I read something in the summer about a bee venom thing that didn’t work actually!! I do wonder if they work too, luckily I have used products before that have helped my fine lines a little so maybe!! But yes this is just not worth the purchase at all!! Its our duty as bloggers to review both good and bad products, we need to be honest!!

  2. It’s always harder to see results with something like a mist, but even so a few weeks should be good enough! Thanks for your honest review – I know what I won’t be picking up 🙂
